First of all JoomlaStats v2.3.0 introduces a new engine that pushes JoomlaStats into
a new era. Almost all parts of the code have been reworked to provide some basic features. Most of the new features will be available from version 3.0, but some of them are available right now:
1) API to share statistics to outside world, also for non-Joomla applications
2) Almost 20% smaller database - without dropping any data!
3) Over 40% more efficient summarization process without dropping any significant data
4) Added OS, browser and animated TLD images
5) Performance on some pages have been significantly improved
6) Counting pages from outside of the Joomla CMS environment (very fast)
7) Better "whois" support
8) Status page with recommendations and self testing
9) 4 new columns in "Summary Month" report
JoomlaStats version v2.3.0 (com_joomlastats_v2.3.0.zip) is a 'Joomla CMS 1.0.15 Native' and 'Joomla CMS 1.5.x Legacy' component, but we have made this version more in Joomla 1.5 style then 1.0
Apart from big changes that are
invisible for users, v2.3.0 contain many minor changes, mostly to the GUI and some improvements to help the user.
